The legend continues. In 1965, Domenico De Marco (call him Dom) opened Di Fara Pizza in Brooklyn after emigrating from the Province of Caserta in Italy. Little did he know that he would cement his Di Fara Pizza as one of the best pizzeria spots in New York, quite the feat. Now, locals look forward to Dom’s undeniable pizza in South Street Seaport, where you can enjoy a tasty slice and a riverfront view. What makes Dom’s pizza so irresistible? Each pizza pie is handcrafted by the master, Dom, who spent over 53 years perfecting his pizza. At 82, he is still cooking and shows no signs of slowing down. Grab the much-lauded plain slice with their signature chopped basil sprinkled on top for $5, and you’ll be in a pizza heaven. Save us a slice when you visit Di Fara Pizza at 108 South Street. The other two locations are in Midwood and Staten Island. The South Street location is open Monday to Thursday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
