Get Cozy with Fito, a South-American Cocktail Bar

Warm, inviting, and hip seems to be the words locals use to describe Fito, and after a few minutes inside, we tend to agree. From the limited yet cozy space to the friendliness of the staff and the freshly prepared cocktails, Fito is the ideal hangout or date spot for those in the Inwood area. The ceviche is a must-try, but we enjoyed the deviled eggs made with aji amarillo, bacon, and herbs. The standout was the Yapingacho, a potato pancake prepared with an egg, peanut sauce, and scallions; a flavorful and filling small plate. Cocktails reign supreme here at Fito, and their imaginative lineup of drinks are astounding. The Patagonia Cobbler is a sweet and addictive concoction made with amontillado sherry, orange, vermouth, yerba mate syrup, and aromatic bitters. They have a small selection of beers, and guests can also opt for wine by the glass. “Inwood is such a cool neighborhood, and we're so excited to be here," Fito wrote on its Instagram page. We’re glad to have them too. Discover Fito at 4736 Broadway between Sherman Ave and Dongan Pl.
