It is a challenging time in our country. We are in the midst of a pandemic and, in this past week, we have been starkly reminded of our country’s painful history of racial injustice. At DoorDash, we recognize the moral imperative to stand with all Americans for justice. We also know that words alone are not enough, so we have chosen to act now and are committed to the long-term work of racial justice. Please read the June 3 blog post from Tony Xu, our CEO, to learn more.
For those of you who are here looking for new options on DoorDash, we’ve updated our stories to highlight restaurants newly available in San Francisco, as well as recent additions for breakfast and lunch. We’ve also taken a deep-dive into tacos, the original New World food, explored the iconic Vietnamese fusion sandwich known as banh mi, and highlighted the best ramen you can get delivered right now.
In April, we launched immediate relief programs to support our merchant partners whose businesses were impacted by the coronavirus. Now we are transitioning to our Main Street Strong Program to help our partners through the rest of the year. Please read the May 28 blog post from Tony Xu, our CEO, to learn more about how we support local merchants.
We know there will be even more trying days ahead. For our merchants, our customers, and all the communities we serve, we commit to being your partner in the difficult work of making our communities more just, equitable, and inclusive.
